We’re engaging students in real world problem solving through community reforestation projects
Archangel Ancient Tree Archive is thrilled to celebrate our environmental education program. Our classes are designed for children in K-12 and adults in college and adult education programs. Archangel is partnering with Michigan schools and universities to provide the program. It offers hands-on, place-based learning, nature awareness, tree propagation, and more. Many of our programs happen at the Archangel research & education facility in Copemish, Michigan. Sometimes, we take our program to schools to interact directly with students.
Education has always been at our core at Archangel, and now we proudly announce that it is a central part of our mission. With these programs, our goal is to “propagate the propagators” while demonstrating innovation in ecological restoration, economic development, and educational programming.
Using trees at its core, we are premiering our education initiative with the introduction of new programs that engages both kids and adults in real world problem solving through community reforestation projects, and teaching solutions to climate change:
Climate Change Curriculum
This curriculum provides the content to prepare and guide students towards active involvement in the global effort to slow and stop climate change.
Tree School
Project-based, hands on green jobs training, ecological restoration, community service-learning and economic development for children in Grades K-12 and adults in University or Adult Education.
Supporting Our Education Initiative
Archangel Ancient Tree Archive is a 501c3 Non-Profit Corporation. We depend on the generous giving of supporters and donors to fund our education programs. We offer our programs at no cost to our partner schools while performing needed ecological reforestation, place-based education, and economic development projects throughout Michigan.
Business & community donors are recognized with a tree plaque at each planting, and may actualize carbon tax credits for trees planted.
Tree School courses are conducted with our partner schools and colleges.
Archangel offers our cutting edge educational programming at no cost to our partner schools and universities.
A business, corporation or individual can sponsor courses of their choosing with a tax deductible donation to Archangel Ancient Tree Archive.
