David Milarch is on a mission to save the world’s oldest trees by cloning and replanting them. The inspiration to devote his life to saving the trees came from a very unusual source – a vision he had when he was seriously ill in 1992.

Milarch tells the dramatic story of how he died and came back to life with a mission to archive the genetics of ancient trees.

The interview appears on the BBC World Service show, Outlook. The series combs the world for the most interesting stories. Hosted by Matthew Bannister.
