On August 2, 2015, a severe storm ripped through our area in northwest lower Michigan, downing power lines, uprooting trees, and closing roads. A tornado also touched down in the town of Glen Arbor, MI, that downed trees and closed all roads for three days or more. Thousands of trees were lost in this unique storm event.
Radio station WTCM is sponsoring the event, featuring music, tree climbing, cider pressing, and more. The event takes place at the historic Barns Park at the Grand Traverse Commons, Saturday, October 24th from 1-5pm.
